For the Social- og sundhedsassistent (SSA) education, you generally need Danskuddannelse 3 (PD3). For the helper (SSH) level, a slightly lower level may be accepted, but strong oral skills are always necessary.

Documentation is a legal requirement. It ensures continuity of care and serves as a record of a citizen's condition. In Denmark, 'If it's not documented, it didn't happen.'

Egenomsorg translates to 'Self-care.' A core part of the SOSU philosophy is helping citizens maintain as much of their own self-care as possible (rehabiliterende tilgang).

A SOSU-hjælper focuses primarily on practical care and daily activities. A SOSU-assistent has a longer education and can handle more complex clinical tasks, such as medication and wound care.

Triage is the systematic assessment of a citizen's health status (Green, Yellow, Red) to prioritize clinical interventions.

The professional term is 'Tryksår' or 'Decubitus'.

It means 'Hand hygiene.' It is the most critical infection control measure in Danish healthcare settings.

Focus on non-verbal cues (kropssprog), use simple 'Yes/No' questions, and observe facial expressions (ansigtsudtryk).

There is a high demand for SOSU workers. While perfect grammar isn't required, you must be able to understand instructions and communicate clearly with the citizens to ensure safety.
